10 Photos of Montreal that will make you think you’re in Europe

Less than 1 minute Reading Time: Mins

There is something so magical about Europe.

Each city has their own special charm with their cobblestone streets, cute boutiques and cafes, amazing architecture, and old ports.

I’ve been to Europe now a handful of times and each time my trip comes to an end, I’m left wanting more. I want to visit more places, see more things, and do more things.

But traveling there can sometimes get extremely expensive, especially when it comes time to convert my Canadian dollars over to Euros. It always hurts my soul when my money is cut down by a couple hundred dollars when I’m at the bank.

Why is our dollar so crappy! *Wipes tears from my eyes*

Last year, I visited Montreal for the 2nd time, but for some reason, it was like I saw it with new eyes. Maybe it was because it was my first time there in the winter and/or because I was with my french boyfriend.

Or perhaps it was the christmas lights that had yet to be taken down twinkling in the falling snow, or the snow covered buildings with the lights from inside glowing in the darkness.

Whatever it was, I saw the charm that I’d seen in many of the European countries I’d visited.

It just had that Je ne sais quoi and it was absolutely lovely (even though it was sooo freakin’ cold).

I took so many photos during that visit but I have compiled 10 of them that had the most European feel. Seriously you’ll mistake them for being taken in Europe, but sure enough, they are from our next door neighbours over in Quebec, Montreal.

So without further ado, let’s get to the good stuff. Here are:
