15 Powerful Black Lives Matter Quotes

Reading Time: 6 Mins

Black lives matter.

There is no ifs ands or buts about it.

For hundreds of years, we have been led to believe that Black lives don’t matter. But I know that we matter. I matter. We matter just as much as the next person and deserve to be treated as much.

Times have been so insanely crazy.

We are living through a revolution. History is being made. Thousands and thousands of people are marching and protesting and demanding justice for the Black lives taken too soon.

It’s both beautiful and hopeful and overwhelming all at the same time.

But most of all, I’m hopeful.

Hopeful for a future where Black people are no longer losing their lives simply because of their skin colour.

Where we are treated equal to our “lighter peers”, in the workplace, out on the streets, in schools, everywhere.

I’m sad it’s taken this long for people to start seeing just how much suffering the Black community has faced, but I’m happy that people are finally seeing it and are standing up for us and with us.

Quotes have a beautiful way of saying something I can’t seem to put into words myself.

I’ve shared many of these on my Instagram and I thought I should put them together in a post.

Black lives matter.

Black people are beautiful and are worthy of love.

We are worthy of so much more than we’ve been given credit for.

We need justice for our fallen brothers and sisters. We need peace. We need equality and recognition.
