Le Parisis hotel

Reading Time: 8 Mins

Located on the Boulevard de Grenelle in Paris’s 15th district lies Le Parisis hotel

Driving into Paris, along the seine river, then past the Eiffel tower, we turned the corner just down the block and pulled up in front of the building.

I had been a little nervous not having had any information on where we were staying in Paris beforehand. I had left it all up to Yann as I had been stupid busy working and he knew Paris (at least way more than me).

I asked Yann if this was the place we were staying and he said yes. I was lowkey trying to hide my excitement as we could literally walk to the Eiffel tower from the hotel.

Leaving our belongings in the car and went to check in first.

The hotel Lobby

Let me tell you how I was so pleasantly surprised walking into the hotel. It looked quite luxurious compared to what I was expecting.

Truthfully, I don’t know what I was expecting but this was definitely better!

The lobby wasn’t overly big but it was very nice with dark rich colours. There was seating to one side and the front desk on the other. There was also a hallway leading to the dining area.

I’d made a mental note to check that area out later.

Checking in

The check-in process was a little bizarre for me.

Yann had booked the room, yet the concierge asked for both of our passports to check us in.

I dreaded giving him my passport as the picture is definitely not the best reflection of me. Except for the check-in agents and security at the airport, NO ONE sees my passport picture.

It stays hidden at ALL times as the picture is unbearably embarrassing.

More on that story another time though.

The concierge took photocopies of our passports (I’m guessing for security purposes) and then we were good to go.

He gave us our room key and told us we would love the view. As if I wasn’t already excited enough, hearing this just stepped it up to the next level.

I mean I was ecstatic just to finally be in Paris, a place I’d dreamt of visiting for years.

Yann and I strolled back outside to grab our belongings from the car and then headed up to our room.

The hotel room

We rode the petit mirrored elevator up to the sixth floor and entered our room.

The space wasn’t huge, but it was a perfect size for our 4-night stay.

After quickly admiring the room, I dropped my things and immediately went to the window and threw open the curtains.

*Cue internal squeal*

We had a view of the Eiffel Tower!

Well, not the whole tower but a good portion of the top of it.

The bottom half was blocked by the train tracks and buildings, but who cared. The view felt very Parisienne.

Or what my “idea” of Parisienne was.

I’m sure I stared out the window for a solid 10 minutes before moving on to look at the bathroom.

The bathroom was a decent size. It was a bright modern room with a large vanity mirror and a stand-up walk-in shower complete with a waterfall shower head. I’d always wanted to try one but had never stayed in a place that had one before.

So, again I was super happy. Like stacks on stacks kind of happy.

I was staying in a beautiful hotel, had an amazing view from my window, and had a gorgeous yet simple bathroom for the next 4 days!

The dining area and bird chair

The following day we decided to explore the hotel a little more before heading to the Louvre.

Coming down the elevator, we rounded the corner and took the hallway leading to the dining area.

The space was very simple and elegant, complete with some greenery and great low and natural lighting.

Off to the side hung an oversized birdcage seat which you know I had to test out. While it rated only a 2 on the comfort scale, it definitely rated a high 9 on the memorable cute photo scale.

While the hotel offered a dinning option, we never actually bothered with looking into eating there.

We wanted to eat out on the streets of Paris and experience the classic french restaurants – or at least I did. And Yann happily wanted to make that happen.

Staying at Le Parisis for my first ever trip to Paris was perfect and I was so sad when it was time to leave.

If you’re planning on visiting Paris and are looking for a reasonably priced hotel to stay at in a great location, I definitely recommend trying out this hotel.

Yann got a good deal when he booked it, so keep your eye out for drops in prices and book your stay here!

Until next time, stay blessed ♡
