come take a look at this beautiful penthouse I stayed at with friends on my trip to Thailand. It was one of the best Airbnb’s I have ever stayed in!

Karon Hill penthouse is a gorgeous Airbnb located in Chang Wat Phuket, Thailand. It’s about a 45-minute drive south of Phuket International Airport.

When I saw photos of this Airbnb on the website and knew that I would be staying here with my 5 friends, I thought this place was too good to be true. But let me tell you, it was as true as ever!

The Airbnb

The 360 sqm Airbnb, named Karon Hill Sunset Penthouse, sleeps up to 6+ people. It has 3 bedrooms and each room has its own washroom.

The apartment features a large kitchen with a beautiful island separating the kitchen from the dining and living area which are equally as spacious.

The piece de resistance of this penthouse, however, is the very large wraparound terrace that connects to all the bedrooms, 2 on one side, one on the other.

The terrace has more than enough seating to accommodate a large group, it offers the best sea and sunset views, and has a pool on deck.

Yes, you read that right, this penthouse comes with its very own private pool!

You’ll find all this on the top floor of a 7-story condo just a 5-minute walk from the popular Karon Beach.

The location of the penthouse was excellent with several restaurants a short walk away and only about an 8-minute drive from the infamous Patong beach!

My stay at Karon Hill

I absolutely loved my time at Karon Hill. We stayed a total of 4 days and it was awesome.

The penthouse was everything I imagined it would be, it was like living a dream for those few days.

The beds were all super comfortable, the water pressure was excellent in the showers, the air conditioning was pure heaven (it gets really hot and humid in Thailand).

I honestly have no complaints….well, except one but I’ll mention that down in the pros and cons section!

While the hosts offered extra services like private breakfasts and dinners (for an additional fee of course), we ended up eating out at different restaurants daily and I loved walking down the street and starting each day with a fresh fruit smoothie.

In the Airbnb listing, it says the views are the best in the entire estate and I believe that! The views were absolutely incredible and the sunsets every night were breathtaking.

I was so sad when our time came to an end and we had to check out. I would 1000% stay here again.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

~Amazing location

~Looks exactly like the pictures in the Airbnb listing

~The private pool (duh!)

~A really nice space with a great layout

~Really good sized rooms

~The massive terrace and the amazing views

Cons:

~Having to pay the electricity and water fee at the end of your stay. (This wasn’t necessarily a con, the problem was we didn’t know how much it would actually cost and we weren’t prepared when we found out it was actually higher than we originally budgeted).
