I’ve been bullet journaling for a few years now. When I first started in 2020, I absolutely loved it. Creating my personalized spreads and filling them in daily was my jam.
I fell off for a couple of months in late 2020 and early 2021 and was feeling down about it because when I was doing it, I really enjoyed it.
A few months ago, I started having bullet journal dates with some friends and that’s really helped me get back on the bandwagon and get consistent with my bujo again.
My issue was finding the time to write out my spreads each month. When it was done, I had no problem utilizing them daily, I just needed to get the ball rolling.
Another thing I really struggled with was wanting to copy all the gorgeous spreads I saw on Youtube and on Pinterest. They were very elaborate most of the time and I am not an artist in that way. So instead of actually being inspired, I wound up feeling overwhelmed not knowing which designs to try to re-create.
Thank God for my friend who keeps her bujo super minimalistic and practical who reminded me that the goal is to keep it simple and just get er done. To have something that’s functional to use each day.
I worked off her spreads and added a few extra swirls every now and then.
This month, I decided to re-create a few spreads that I found on Pinterest but still keep it super simple so that I didn’t get overwhelmed as I tend to do.
I actually really like this March spread as it’s simple but still super cute.
Hopefully if you struggle like me, you can get some ideas for your own bujo!
So without further ado, here is my March 2022 bullet journal spread.
~
Month at a glance
I used to dedicate a whole 2 pages to the month at a glance but I’ve been loving having it on a single page which allows room to have my goals and gratitude page right next to it. I try to write at least 4 or so goals that I focus on each month.
I also used to be very strict with my gratitude writing them each day, but I’m taking a more lenient approach now and writing in a few when the mood strikes. I feel much better about it.
Expenses and brain dump
I’ve been working on getting my expenses down on paper to help me with my spending, so an expense page has found it’s way into my monthly spreads.
Right next to that is my trusty Brain Dump page. This page is essential for getting all the crazy ideas down on paper that circulate around in my head. These are the things I try to focus on throughout the month.
I used to have habit tracker pages and monthly round-up but I ditched those as I wasn’t making good use of them anymore, plus I’m pretty good with my daily habits now, so I don’t feel like I need to waste a page and my precious time making one.
So that brings us into the weekly spreads.
I totally messed up this first week and made a full week fit on a single page, but I just went with it and did the same for week two in a slightly different layout.
For the following weeks, I spread them out along two pages and switched up the layouts again. I really liked how it turned out having a different spread each week.
I tied it all together with my lazy flowers on each page…like I said, I’m not an artist, but I think it turned out pretty good!
I hope to upload some more bullet journal posts as well as this method of planning has helped me so much over the last few years. It’s almost therapeutic writing out the spreads each month and I just love that you can customize it to fit your needs.
I got ALL my close friends into bujo-ing, one has far surpassed me and is almost religious with hers which actually makes me so happy to see.
It’s just a great way to plan out your months\weeks\years and anything I’ve found that has helped me in my productivity and just in life in general, I want to share with you.
So stay tuned for some more bujo spreads.
Until next time, stay blessed ♡
